Riptide Oceanfront Hotel & Tiki Bar

If you're looking for a fancy modern hotel, do yourself a favor and stay at Margaritaville down the street. Hollywood Beach has an old South Florida vibe, in a good way. And that's what you get with this hotel - an authentic experience, so we loved it. It's an old building but it has been updated. Our room was away from the live music so it was not loud, but even so the music did not go late into the night. The area is quiet otherwise, since it's not where all the restaurants are. That's about a 5 minute walk down the Broadwalk. Parking is $20/night and it's either right behind the hotel or in a nearby parking lot, no valet. The hotel provides beach towels, which are already in the room, so there is no hassle to request them anywhere. The hotel does NOT provide beach chairs or umbrellas,

Our second story room was directly above the very busy promenade with a great view of the beach and ocean. No elevator, but the checkin gal arranged to have our bags brought to the very spacious room. Looks like the place has had an upgrade and was very clean and comfortable. We did not use the range in the kitchen and took advantage of the full sized refrigerator. The bed was super comfy. The Tiki bar was a riot, an absolutely unforgettable marvellous visit. Great karaoke by the local senior denizens of the area. I loved it. The office was closed at checkout. This place and the surrounding area is a wonderful place to stay and visit. This hotel was amazing!! Mikayla working at the front desk was really sweet and really accommodated to me and my sister’s needs. We would most definitely come back again. The room included a full size kitchen and clearly renovated restrooms. The beds were super comfortable too.

Riptide Tiki Bar was an amazing experience, and a huge part of that was our waitress, Eliana. She was truly on the ball from start to finish—attentive without being overbearing, friendly, and incredibly genuine. Every interaction felt wholesome and welcoming, and she made sure we had everything we needed without ever having to ask. Service like hers is rare and unforgettable. Eliana alone won me over as a loyal customer, and I can’t wait to come back because of her. Highly recommend! ASK FOR HER

This place is adorable. The live music is amazing. It’s right on the beach. It’s such a vibe! Tatiana was our server and she is sweet and adorable and on top of everything! Highly recommend great food too and great drinks.
