It's seldom that you stay in a place that so perfectly represents its own little corner of the planet. Our stay in Presidio exploring Big Bend could not have been better complemented by our outstanding accommodations. The Rio Bravo Ranch delivers on absolutely every detail, from it's incredible design, the 5 Star service, amenities at your fingertips, and most importantly...the food. Our cook Iris went above and beyond to take care of us during our stay, bringing wonderful new flavours from across the border as well as some familiar favourites. Every aspect of our stay was so well organized by Lauren, this is absolutely the best place to stay in Presidio, period.
If quiet and seclusion is required to recharge your soul, this is the place. We just spent 4 days and 3 nights at Rio Bravo Ranch outside of Presidio Texas and it was amazing. This beautifully remote stay offered privacy with tasteful luxury and comfort, surrounded by incredible landscapes with colorful sunsets framed by US and Mexico mountains. This home was thoughtfully designed to blend with the natural topography sitting elevated so one can take in nature’s beauty. The photos we took could not capture the experience and beauty of the Rio Grand as it winds across the desert landscape. After sunset, we found ourselves immersed in dark skies with an abundance of brilliantly magnified stars. We hated to leave and will certainly return, making it a staple in our Big Bend visits. Ste
Me and two of my friends stayed here for an event and had a blast. The scenery was beautiful and the rugged terrain made for some challenging but enjoyable hiking. The main facility was very nice and comfortable and had a very well set patio area. I would highly recommend it if you're looking for an authentic Southwest Texas experience.
La Centinela was a great stay for our family to take a Fall Break trip. Lauren was a great host and thought of all the little things, she was available and helpful whenever we had some questions. The Adobe house was quaint and unique for our family and the quiet nights perched up on the hill overlooking the Rio Grande and the hills of Mexico listening to the cows bellow and horses gallop was a great experience for our city kids. Ending the nights under the stars with a fire capped a wonderful and tiring day.
If you plan to explore the west Texas and big bend areas, I highly highly recommend to stay at Rio Bravo Ranch!!! The house is well built & designed, the view from the house is amazing!!! The best vacation house my family have ever stayed. Lauren is the best owner ever as well, always response our questions quickly. As an architect myself, I can’t stop recommending this house to all my colleagues to check out. Although I am back from vacation, I have already missed the view of west Texas and Presidio. I can’t wait to go back again and thank you Lauren and Charlie for sharing this beautiful house and view with us!!!
