Rim Rock Motel

We have stayed at this motel several times with friends during a week of touring in old cars. Last year it was showing wear and tear. We should have taken that as a warning. It has really gone downhill since. The current owner is taking money out of the motel and not doing any maintenance or providing the basic amenities. The carpet of our room was stained and dirty. They had no washcloths after our first of four nights. We were given only one hand towel and the bath towels were worn out. There were no plastic glasses, pen or paper, wifi and the TV had no cable channels and less than a dozen local. We were charged an extra 3.+% for using a credit card and they now give a discount for cash...which is suspect. We have learned our lesson and will not be staying there again. We cann

Clean, basic older motel located on Hy 395. Check in was disinterested, and disengaged but I just needed a place to sleep. AC was excellent.

Have to be honest, I did not expect much. But the bed was absolutely phenomenal. It’s pretty much all I care about, and I was really pleasantly surprised and didn’t want to get out of it this morning. The rest of the room is clean and fine but the bed was worth posting for.

This place is now JUNK! It pains me to say it. This was my ‘go to’ halfway stay for a trip I’ve had to make at least a half dozen times over the past five years. The previous owner was so kind and considerate. The rooms weren’t new, but the owner made every effort to make your stay pleasant. He lowered the rate for return customers. Made a point of offering Turner Classic Movies on the TV, because “the Old Ranchers like it.” The old owner offered two horse stalls free of charge if you needed them. I did use them several times. Because I’m not an old rancher, but I am a gal who travels with horses to clinics sometimes. We stayed 6 nights at the quaint and clean motel while exploring the area wildlife and trails. We were in the Queen Kitchen suite. It was cozy but covered all our needs. The room was extremely clean and they are dog friendly. The grounds were great for walking and playing with our dog. Rebekah was always available by phone call and very helpful. I would recommend and will be staying again.
