Richards of Dunbar Supper Club & Motel

We have stopped at Richard's several times now and have not been disappointed. Lynn, the owner, is an outgoing person and goes out of her way to make everyone feel welcome. I had Tenderloin Tips over noodles, which are homemade. My husband had broasted chicken. Both were very good. You won't be disappointed if you stop here.

After a long UTV ride we come across this old school restaurant and bar. Great atmosphere and the people are so friendly. When our food came out, they did not disappoint. Huge meals with reasonable prices. And yes if was delicious!

My first review of Richard's was in October, 2017. The food is as delicious today as it was then. This past season, we ate in twice and once ordered a carry-out.|The carry-out was for their Friday fish fry. Our order included nine entrees of various fish (Walleye, Perch, Shrimp). Th e food was ready for pick-up as scheduled. Everyone got what they ordered and were very pleased. Everyone enjoyed the Cheese Curds.|The two times we ate in, once was a fish fry and the other was on a Sunday. The fish fry was delicious. On Sunday, we enjoyed their chicken and prime beef sandwiches. The food was fantastic. The service was very attentive.

***Reviewing the supper club only -did not stay at the hotel*** Stopped for dinner on a weds night and ate at the bar. Bartender was really nice & attentive. Brandy Old Fashion were great. Food portions were good, we didnt do the whole soup & salad bar. Chicken Parmasean special was great. Not usually a meatloaf person, but for some reason it called my name and i was happy it did because it was awesome! Lots of hummingbirds to watch. Inside was slightly dated. and bathrooms could use a little bit of work. Soap dispensers were empty and fixtures were kinda rusty.

Supper club: burgers were very good. Service was friendly, attentive, and warm. Atmosphere was exactly what I expected from a supper club. We had a good time. Motel: do not recommend for lite sleepers. The highway traffic, music from the bar, and blinds with no curtains to block the lights made it very difficult to sleep. The bed and pillows were very uncomfortable (2 full sized beds). Smart TV with internet but the only thing that was able to play was live tv. The room did have positives in that it was clean, the water was hot, and it's a convenient location for northwoods activities. Camping would have been better though.
