Customer Reviews
Beds are hard and the lighting in the rooms are subpar, but the atmosphere is great for a small town.
I booked this hotel because I was working in the Princess Anne area and options were very limited. The room and facility are in serious need of upgrades. My room did not have a second locking mechanism that prevents the door from opening, which didn't feel very safe as I was traveling by myself. My room was pretty hot most days but I had no way to control the temperature. 2 of 3 nights I didn't have hot water, only lukewarm shower water. The rooms are very dark and in 4 days I never had housekeeping come to the room. The "free breakfast" is really a refrigerated bagel and container of oatmeal and/or packaged pop tarts. I was supposed to be booked there for a second week but I switched my reservation to another hotel.
We had a UNA Annual Dinner at the center! And we had a good time. Last night was fantastic! There’s some delicious food. They have the salad and cheese and crackers for the appetizer, the main course dinner, and the dessert. The food was delicious to eat. And then they started giving out certificate awards and I received for Technical outstanding achievements. I had a blast at the Dinner Last night.
We were a group of 8 that booked here last minute when our plans changed. We didnt realize this was actually a hotel owned and operated by the University's Hospitality major students. I think thats really cool. The 2 we encountered were very professional and courteous. The lobby was impressive. The rooms were a bit dated, but clean, functional, and safe. The temp controls being the "dated" aspect. And the Ice machine on the 3rd floor was being repaired/ replaced, but other than that, we have no complaints. The grounds were nice outside, so a cool atmosphere, and relatively safe, too. We had 7 motorcycles parked in the front lot all night with no issues. But We actually had trouble finding the place. Mind you this is located ON the campus, and looks like any other college Admin building. N
What can be said..the couple staff members we interacted with were nice and friendly. If you are looking for a no frills hotel on the MD Eastern Shore, this is it. Cons of this hotel: "continental breakfast" is some prepackaged breakfast bars, and bagels (see pics). The AC is controlled by a fan speed knob on the wall. Despite setting the temp to 66, the AC didn't get below 70. Generally, the room was In need of maintenance. The bed was not comfortable, I felt as if I was sleeping on springs all night long. Not much in the general area , but within 10 miles on RT 13 (Northbound), are a bunch of restaurants, shopping, malls, etc.. Pros: it was quiet. The WiFI seemed to work well. The TV sound and picture were fine also. If staying at this hotel, recommend bring additional toilet
