Restwell Motel

Very clean motel, no smoke smell in the room at all, clean sheets and towels. Good size room with mini fridge, microwave and tv. We stayed in December and the heat and water heater worked great, only thing was the faucets were labeled backwards. Staff was super friendly and helpful in telling us about restaurants and stores nearby. It’s a great little old place to rest in this small town, would definitely return and recommend. There is no hair dryer or coffee maker in the room and no ice machine, vending machine, breakfast, laundry room, gym or pool but it’s the best motel I’ve stayed in. They do have some drinks available in the office. If the door is locked, just give them a ring and they’ll be there in a jiffy.

As stated by other reviewers, this is a quiet, clean and friendly stop where not many are available. The price is good and the room is very good. Older facilities like this often smell like years of accumulated smoke. Not this one! ||||The man I dealt with made check-in quick and friendly. I inadvertently caused him an extra inconvenience and he was quick and friendly with the help - acting as though it was a privilege for him to take care of me.||||This is the second time I have stayed, but drove quite a few miles out of the way and would again.||||This is not a fancy big city facility. It is what you would expect from a small friendly town. Was on a motorcycle trip last summer and found this place using gps on phone. It was a very clean room, The lady working the check in was very polite and friendly. There are no outstanding places to eat close by, however there is a restaurant on main st in town that had pretty decent food. It is plainly a nice place to stay with good rates too. Oh and the air conditioning worked great! Very hot ride all day on bikes!

Laurie and I loved the RestWell! ||||The host is very nice and accommodating, rooms are super-clean and spacious and our room, 4. featured a big TV and a reclining love seat! How perfect is that for the end of a long day of being on the road??||||We stayed on a Sunday night and discovered Johnson City has no restaurant open after 2:00. We made do with gas station chicken and some sides from the grocery store. Our RestWell host lent us spoons and a ca opener...

Family is in hospital. So it's the only place in town. Beds are hard and uncomfortable. Maybe a full size...Bring an air mattress. It's clean. Communication with staff was a challenge. Get a place before you arrive in Johnson.
