Residence Inn by Marriott Wheeling-St. Clairsville, OH

The absolute nicest hotels I have stayed in. The staff is wonderful. And the rooms are beautiful. And you feel like you're at home. The bed was perfect. And got a hot breakfast before leaving.

Stayed here during an 8-day mid-west trip for a night, we stayed in 6 other hotels in the trip (mostly Residence Inn or Homewood suites) and this was the best we stayed in the entire trip.|The Staff is super friendly and welcoming. The rooms are very spacious and well maintained. The kitchen is large and super clean.|Checkout is at noon, and we requested for late checkout, but it was not honored as staff mentioned they are fully booked, but we stayed at the Lobby which is spacious with lot of seating arrangements.|The bathroom is spacious, and water pressure was okay. There is a basketball court to play, Swimming pool was maintained super clean. This hotel was fabulous. Our stay was the last night of a 7-week trip through New England, we were tired and most ready to be home. The minute we walked into the beautiful lobby, we felt relaxed and comfortable. Our room was relaxing and the bed and pillows were outstanding. The evening MIX was great as we didn't have to go out to get a really good meal. The staff was exceptional -- very helpful and concerned for our needs and comfort. It was such a good experience that we almost felt we would like to stay another night . . . but home called! Will definitely stay at this hotel in the future when we are in this area!

The Residence Inn by Marriott in the St. Claires/ Wheeling area is a great hotel. It's clean, quiet, comfortable and has convenient access to lots of the areas businesses without being in a high traffic area. Lorraine at the desk was very helpful and friendly. Definitely a good place to stay. The only thing they need to change is when you go to pull out on the road; there's limited sight distance to the left and you can't tell there are any vehicles coming. Even though the road is 35mph, the obstruction and curve of the road puts the vehicle within a very short distance; while you hope oncoming traffic is following the speed limit.

My stay here was excellent! Vickie was extremely helpful in assisting us with our booking and even upgraded us to a nicer room. The comfortable pillows and delicious hot breakfast made our stay even better. Every staff member we encountered was friendly and welcoming. I will definitely recommend this hotel to others. Residence Inn was worth the price, and I’ll be choosing this brand again based on our wonderful experience.
