Residence Inn by Marriott Philadelphia Bala Cynwyd

The staff and accommodations have been wonderful throughout our stay. Everything has been clean, comfortable, and welcoming. A huge shout-out to Amanda in particular—she went above and beyond to make our stay special. Her kindness and attention to detail truly stood out. Thank you for such a great experience!

This hotel is great for what it is. Rooms are massive, service was good and flexible with early check in. It's kind of in the middle of nowhere so if you want to eat anywhere other than the 2 adjacent restaurants, it's a 20 min walk to Manayunk. Overall, good value for money (though when I wanted to extend the price was double, which was no longer good value for money...)

Positive: The breakfast area was so nice, it felt like we were eating in a gourmet coffee shop. Also they had fresh melon at breakfast. Negative: Like most residence inns, the sofa bed mattress was thin and there was no whole milk option.

This was the best Marriott I have ever stayed at! The front desk hospitality was the best also. Dominique and Kyra ensured that everything was all set-we needed a handicap accessible room and an adjoining room. The hotel is about 4 years old I think and was super clean. Unfortunately we were only there for a short time so we weren’t able to enjoy the beautiful lobby. There also is a nice area outside that had a Christmas tree. It’s a little off the beaten path which was perfect for us. It was very quiet and just a wonderful place to stay. It would definitely be our first choice to stay if we return to the area. The only downside was they do not have two bedroom suites like other Residence Inns- for our 2 week stay we had to choose a different hotel-we would have loved to stay

We had a few issues with the room, eg light not working, toilet clogged, but prompt and professional staff took care of it. We are Marriott Gold and were upgraded to a corner room with great river views. The corner room was a little colder but we turned up the heat and were comfortable. 2pm late checkout was honored. Hotel is located in a stylish complex called the Ironworks. River walk, restored industrial vibe, it has style and flair above most hotels in this class. Loved the cozy fireplace in the lounge.
