Residence Inn by Marriott Fulton at Maple Lawn

To the entire team at the Fulton / Maple Lawn Residence Inn, What started as a temporary stay turned into six months of feeling truly at home, and that’s entirely because of the incredible people who work here. From day one, every single staff member made us feel welcomed, safe, and cared for in a way that goes far beyond “hotel service.” A special thank you to Cesi in housekeeping, who is genuinely one of the kindest, warmest people we’ve ever met. Her smile, her care, and the pride she takes in her work made such a difference to us. Overall a pleasant stay. Brand new hotel and very clan and staff very friendly. Our refrigerator was intermittently VERY noisy and had to be unplugged to watch tv and sleep. We reported it but when maintenance looked at it it wasn’t being noisy. Used fitness center which was nice but limited equipment. Awesome shower. Great free breakfast and they had Gluten free choices which was a plus. Tea bags in the room would have been nice, not everyone is a coffee drinker. Staff very friendly. Great price for stay. Nice restaurants in walking distance in safe neighborhood.

We stayed here for 10 days on a business trip and it was a mediocre experience I wouldn't recommend over any other hotel in the general area. Pros: ~The kitchen was well stocked with the things you need to actually cook while you're there. ~The living space is spacious and not particularly dilapidated. ~The TVs are of a solid quality. ~There is a grocery store within a few hundred feet so it helps make the kitchen extra useful. ~The staff was generally polite ~It's a quiet location and quiet hotel so you're not rudely awakened or kept from trying to sleep. Cons: ~The dishwasher smelled as though no one there is even aware it has a filter, let alone changed it. ~The bathroom was lacking a working vent fan so smells got to fill the entire bedroom. Update!! I have never been subjected to such condescending energy ever at a marriott property, until today!! The GM knocked on my door at 11:20,once opened he said "Did you know checkout was at 11?" I said I had no idea it was 11, and that I would prepare. His response was "So how long is it going to take you to gather your things?" Really sir? Your maintenance guy had just left my room for the water and dishwasher repair and not once did you call up to the room and or offer to extend me more time to get dressed and pack my belongings! Five minutes later housekeeping knocked on the door with him asking the same thing?! Damn!! I am a member and have been for years. The front desk clerk was rude as well, people who work in this field need to take empathy training, period!! You have no idea

I needed temporary housing and stayed at this hotel and loved it! The rooms were very clean and spacious, and the customer service was outstanding! My son especially loved the fitness center. Lol. I live nearby in Laurel, so I was already familiar with the area, but the location is perfect! Somewhat secluded, but surrounded by tons of dining options and a Harris Teeter, and close to major commuter routes. The only negative is I wish it had a true business center. Nonetheless, I highly recommend this extended stay hotel!
