Residence Inn by Marriott Cypress Los Alamitos

I am honestly still in shock over how I was treated at the Residence Inn Cypress and the complete lack of accountability afterward. My first negative interaction was with a front desk employee who was aggressively rude to me for no reason. Her tone was confrontational from the start, and when I calmly addressed it, instead of taking any responsibility, she immediately played the victim. It was so out of line and uncomfortable that I felt compelled to email corporate that evening. When I spoke with management upon checkout, rather than apologizing, the assistant manager told me she would have to “investigate who was telling the truth.” That comment alone was incredibly offensive. I even pointed to their own cameras and said, “Please review your own footage,” because I knew it would clearly

A very comfortable and pleasant stay after receiving only a four day notice to vacate apt for fumigation. The suite gave us enough room for privacy, two tv’s, kitchenette with full size refrigerator, all very useful. I work from home so the high speed internet and a work desk space was great. The free breakfast was much better than expected (although Marriott never lets me down). Room was very very clean, I requested a quiet room to work from daily with easy access to unload and load car and was accommodated. The hotel has been upgraded, contemporary, very clean with friendly and helpful staff from the front desk to maids and maintenance. They have evening mixers and a lovely outdoor area. Great place to stay when you have to be away from home for extended period.

We are currently staying here now. This is our 5th or 6th time at this property. We live locally and typically stay here when there is an emergency at our property. Normally everyone is so fantastic, however tonight was horrible.|We are here 3 nights and I had to extend my night tonight.|I have a special needs son, so it’s not easy to just pack up and leave. If he wasn’t with me, after my treatment tonight I would have. Everyone was great as usual, until tonight when I went to get water at their water bar. No one was in there, their customer service representative (whom was not wearing a name badge and refused her name) was by herself. She scolded me for getting water (I was using their free cups they provided to fill up water in their cup and then take that cup to put in my son’s water cu

This is probably going to sound entitled, but typically at check in, I get a “thank you for being a Marriott Bonvoy (status) member” and a bottle of water or two. Also, due to status and because I pre request it, I ask for a high floor. I was assigned a ground floor room. Ok, I can live with that… until a stomper moved in upstairs. The lamps and clothes hangers rattle when they walk around, there’s not much insulation. I placed a DoorDash order, went to the lobby to pick it up (I was in a building that’s secured) and saw the front desk clerk check a gentleman in and he got a whole goodie bag! What the heck? Maybe they’re reserved for men only? These are both annoying and inconvenient, but ok. Now for the two most unpleasant things. The room is very clean, which is great! But the c

To start the downsides, the air conditioner sounds like there is a semi truck running in the bedroom, it only goes down to 68 and we were asked why we hadn't moved out even though our check out date wasn't until the next day. The good, nice breakfast bar, friendly staff, nice amenities, they are very dog friendly and it's in a nice neighborhood.
