Residence Inn by Marriott Branson

I actually didn't look at reviews before I booked the hotel and normally I do, but the room was a decent price for the suite. Maybe things changed over the last few months because all of the staff was friendly and helpful. I loved that the room had a separate bedroom. My husband could stay up later and I could sleep in peace and he could sleep in the morning and I could be in the living area and watch TV. We spent more time in the room than normal because of the room space and the Branson traffic on 76 and at the landing-we were over it. Loved that the hotel was close to things but you weren't right outside the traffic and attractions. The breakfast was good. They had low carb, meat eaters, options for non meat eaters. Check in went smoothly, however after arriving in room I noticed the feather pillows requested in the app the day before arrival were not there, I contacted the front desk and they eventually bought them up to us.|Room definitely dated and in desperate need to renovation, couch all stained, pillows are stained and pilled, wallpaper in kitchen is peeling off, fridge makes horrendous banging sound when ice maker is turned on, but as the hotel had no usable ice machines we needed this. Refrigerator is all dented, desk lamp has no plug, some power points & usb plugs don’t work. Cracks all over the floor in the bathroom, floor lifted in bathroom, shower head loose & spraying everywhere. Positive: Location Negative: Hotel was under construction to update, and didn't have ac in the hallway and had portable ac units in the room that we had to run full blast constantly in order to keep the room at a half decent temperature. Not at all what I expect from Marriott hotel

Older hotel. Carpets were damp when we got to our room. Older appliances in room. Wallpaper is peeling or bubbling in lots of places. Floors were not clean in bathrooms. Walls are very thin. We could hear the dog barking 2 doors down, people singing in the hallways, and taking loudly. Was a quick stay for my family of 6. We didn't visit the breakfast either morning.

They couldn’t find our reservation when we was down there and said they were readjust the price because of that. They never did. For breakfast, one day it was cooked, the next it was all in packages. Like they weren’t even trying. When my cousin went up to get more food, one of the staff members yelled at her in front of other guests about leaving the table a mess and she was going back to it. When she complained to front desk, she took the employee side even though she wasn’t around to see what happened. We will never stay there again ever.
