Renaissance Chicago North Shore Hotel

Positive: Easy check-in and check out, very comfortable bed, clean, friendly staff and only 10 minutes from Ravinia. Stayed only overnight. Negative: The in-room coffee/tea maker area was a little dusty and cream tasted sour so no morning coffee.

Great location and very helpful staff. Breakfast was great. Coffee not so great. Number one issue are the adjoining rooms. You can hear every single thing next door. I felt I had to whisper to take a phone call. The main door was so heavy that when any door shut on the entire floor, you heard and felt it. Also there was a lot of roadside/interstate noise. A loud fan/white noise app still didn’t drowned it out. Beds were just ok. Daily room cleaning but used towels and wash clothes were taken yet not replaced. Bedside table’s board fell off when touched. Great price for a quick stay but if quiet rest is what you are looking for, I believe noise solutions need to be made before booking.

This is a very nice hotel. The rooms are clean, modern, and well set up. Beds are comfortable and TV has lots of channels an available as well. Even the hallways and elevators have a crisp, inviting, and modern look. The staff is very welcoming and helpful. I had the opportunity to both stay as a guest and to teach in one of the conference rooms. The conference area is also beautiful. I love the set up of the auditorium, it is perfect for presentations and was well set up prior to the class start. The hotel is in a great location with access to numerous restaurants and also has a Ruth's Chris on site as well as another, more casual restaurant near the lobby area. I highly recommend this hotel and would stay here again gladly.

We stayed at the Renaissance Chicago North Shore Hotel for a coaching conference in October and we were so impressed from the moment we arrived. The hotel itself is beautiful, and check-in was smooth and easy thanks to the excellent customer service. The staff went above and beyond - offering dining recommendations nearby as well as telling us about the hotel restaurant, which had good food and even better drinks, and reminding us that the attached Ruth's Chris was a delicious option. Our room was perfect for a short stay. The beds were comfortable with great pillows, the room was spotless, and the shower was strong and relaxing.
