Relax Inn & Suites

It's not a fancy place but if you need a cheap place to rest, I recommend this place. We checked in after hours and had a hard time getting someone to show up at the front desk. I had a hard time understanding the woman's English but she was very nice. The motel was quiet on a week day. Lots of hot water. No sign of bed bugs, nor roaches. Comfy beds. Clean room. The room had some cosmetic damage but at least it was clean and I could get some much needed rest.

We stayed at Relax Inn after having last-minute camper issues, and with the State vs. UGA game that weekend, it was the only place within 50 miles of Starkville with decent rates. On first glance, the room was actually nicer than I expected given the exterior. The A/C worked great, the water was hot, and for the weekend we stayed, the price was fair. That said, the place definitely has room for improvement. The sink was cracked, pipes were sticking out of the wall, and it looked like some furniture had been moved around and damaged things. They advertise the beds as kings but they are queen sized beds. We went to the front desk to ask for four towels for our family of four, and the woman acted like that was too many. We had to ask twice and still waited over an hour before getting only 2

The rooms are great for the cost. Clean and comfy bed. But when it’s 85-90 degrees outside and the rooms are facing the sun you should turn the AC on earlier in the day before the guest arrives. Been here over and hour and still 85 degrees in the room and I’m sweating.

This was the only hotel that had availability the night I stayed in the morning. I went next-door to McDonald’s came back to see two cockroaches on the floor front desk said they were water bugs. I think not
