For the Redstone GRILL only: A Reliable Favorite with a Stunning Drive to get there! We find ourselves at the Redstone Grill almost every week whenever we're in the area caring for our elderly aunt, and it's become one of our go-to spots for a dependable and enjoyable meal. Even better, the drive there along Highway 133 through the breathtaking Crystal River Valley is absolutely beautiful—winding past red cliffs, the sparkling river, historic coke ovens, and majestic mountains. It's a scenic treat that makes the trip as rewarding as the destination! The atmosphere inside is wonderfully cozy—like stepping into a charming historic saloon with a warm, inviting vibe that makes you want to linger. The staff is consistently friendly and efficient, always attentive without being overbearing, w
Redstone is a pretty little artists’ community along the Crystal River. While a great town to stay in, The Redstone Inn leaves much to be desired for comfort. Its history is interesting and the sitting room lovely. The restaurant is reasonable with good drinks and food. However, as this was built for employee housing for coal miners, the rooms leave much to be desired. The lighting is poor, making it difficult to read. There was only one outlet and the sole lamp in the room was plugged into it so we had to charge our devices in the bathroom. Bring a charging port for multiple devices if you stay here. It was mid September and the room was freezing. While you could warm up under the comforter, you did not want to leave your hands out. The bathroom was a tiny closet like space with no room t
The hotel stands somewhat on its own in a very beautiful location. It was built in the early twentieth century and has a lot of character. The mountains around it are impressive and create a calm atmosphere. Breakfasts are genuinely good and well prepared. The downside is the beds. They are not very comfortable and this affects the overall stay more than it should. Nearby there are old coke ovens which add an interesting historical element to the area and make walks around the hotel more engaging.
We are so glad we had our wedding at the Redstone Inn. It was a wonderful experience! Being in a small town tucked away in the Crystal River Valley was the quiet & intimate feel we were looking for. The historic venue felt like we stepped into a fairy tale. Shout-out to Sara, Cherie, Cesar, & all of the event staff for all of their hard work behind the scenes to make our fairytale come true. The ceremony space was perfect & fit our 120 guests nicely. The food was outstanding & all of our guests were raving about how delicious it was. The reception tent & bar area were recently renovated & the upgrades really turned it up a notch. From start to finish, our expectations were met & exceeded at every turn. We wholeheartedly recommend for anyone looking for a wedding venue.
If you are looking to have your wedding at this location, say I DO! We had a perfect experience from start to finish. Sara and team were organized, accommodating, and fun. We did several pre-wedding meetings, emails, and calls. The dining team, concierge, and wedding team were on top of every detail. They allow for you to be yourself, be creative, and they provide a beautiful backdrop. The chalet is a great for the couple and wonderful for hair and makeup. Our wedding booked out the hotel and were all happy with their accommodations. I planned the wedding without a planner, and everything went off without a hitch. Guests were impressed with the wedding dinner buffet and every other meal they ate throughout the weekend. The new bar is fabulous! Cannot think of a better place to visit and be
