Red Roof Inn Washington, DC - Lanham

I had one of the worst hotel stays of my life at this location. I checked in early and paid extra fees for early check-in. From the beginning, the room was a disaster. The heater did not work at all, and the room was absolutely freezing. On top of that, the phone in the room was broken, so there was no way to contact the front desk even if I needed help. As bad as that was, it somehow got even worse around 8:00 PM. The water completely shut off — no water in the sink, no toilet water, and no shower. Nothing. This is not just inconvenient, it is disgusting and unacceptable. A hotel room without water is uninhabitable. Because of this, I was forced to leave the property that same night, even though I had paid for the entire day and night. When I called the hotel the next day (Monday 1/19

Positive: The staff was nice. Negative: It is very clear that this hotel has not been upgraded in many years. Cockroaches in my room, so many things broken in the room, and NO LATE CHECKOUTS! Overall this experience was so bad I had to find a new place to stay the next day!

The worst $105. I have ever spent on my life. Went in the winter. Air conditioning was on when we entered room. It was freezing in the room. Bed was made but uncomfortable bed and pillows and room was dirty. There was hair in bathtub/shower. People were smoking weed outside and the smell was coming in our room at night. People were obnoxiously loud until late at night. At one point I was awoken by what sounded like men fighting/arguing. I felt very unsafe and very uncomfortable there. We woke up at 6am and decided to just get out of there. Not a good area in MD.

The hotel had roaches in the bed and there was mold all over the bathroom. Roaches were all over everywhere in the room. It was a horrible experience and not worth the 105.00 I paid. Don't stay there. The quality of service was inadequate. The people in other rooms on the first floor were loud. The bed had stains on the sheets, as if it hadn't been cleaned. There was exenstive mold around the air conditioner and bathtub. The sink was dirty. While I sleeping I saw roaches crawling in the bed and the tv stand. It was extremley dirty and unsanitary. Before, I left I made sure I took pictures of the roaches and mold.

Jan. 2026 I stayed in 206 quite comfortable no bugs staff super friendly. My only thing is personal lol too far for me I work in a different county and friends in another county then to come to that county. lol felt like I was always driving. Great place
