Red Roof Inn & Suites Mt Holly - McGuire AFB

I reserved a room at red roof inn for 2 night ( sat 1/24/26 and Sunday 1/25/26 due to the impending snow storm because it was close to my job and I am an essential worker. Went to work on Sunday 1/25/2026 returned to red roof inn and Sunday evening at 7:45 pm and could not get into the parking lot due to the lot not being plowed. There were several cars stuck in the lot shoveling to make a path so they could get out. I was not able to get to the front door of the inn or even get anywhere near. Needless to say I did not get to sleep in the inn. I tried for over an hour to contact the front desk but no one ever answered the phone. On Saturday I had to go to the front desk to get assistance to get the password for the WiFi which did not even work. though the room was okay not a piece of pap

This location is great for business travelers who are in need of basic accommodations at a great price! The lobby is kept clean and inviting, the staff is highly professional, the morning clerk Elizabeth is always smiling and ready to assist in any way she can and the location is hands down ultra convenient! Rooms are exactly as pictured, well stocked and safe. I have no complaints.

The rooms were clean. The WiFi didn't work about half of my stay. The cleaning crew is pretty loud yelling down the hallways in the morning but they do a thorough job of cleaning the rooms and hallways. They did allow early check in. You may hear kids running down the hallway during the day, but it's pretty quiet in the evening.

Check in went ok. I had waited in the car because I have a messed up foot. We went in search of the elevator, because on hotels . Com it says they have an elevator. There is no elevator. Had we known that I would have asked for a ground floor room. While looking for the elevator, the entire first floor smelled heavily of pot. Heavily. It says it’s 100% smoke free but I guess pot doesn’t count. The rooms looked ok at first. Our blind was halfway up. My husband tried to put it down. That was a no. The floors were sticky. The bathroom was fine until I went to take a shower and there was no hot water. We had two rooms but our daughter just went to bed. Don’t know if she had any or not. Now we are not picky people. I have never written a bad review before. But a person should get a
