Red Roof Inn & Suites Midland

This doesn't have the usual red roof inn signature colors. And no cigarette smells!! The room is big, just enough furniture in the room. There's also a single seater in the room! Everything in the room works. Coffee maker, refrigerator and a microwave. Water pressure was ok not great, enough to wash away suds. The floors seem clean, sheets look clean, 4 pillows were puffy. TV works just fine lacking channel guide but can be obtained online. AC works, controlled by a thermostat thing on the wall. AC comes on and off to regulate set temp. Overall it's much better than most RRIs I've stayed at and I've stayed at many. Staff are friendly. Didn't go to the gym or have breakfast as they were still being worked on. Replacing carpet etc. Not sure when that's going to happen but.....

Big sign with "no refunds" at check in was foreshadowing of how bad it would be. Non smoking room stank with smoke. I ask for other room. Front desk guy acted quite unprofessional but gave in. New room smelled better but fridge didn't work a/c didn't work and faucets were not attached to wall.

Positive: hot tub was decent Negative: didnt have my b room so one had to be cancelled, wsited 3 hrs in the lobby w ax1 and 14 yr ild children to get the room

I want to start off by saying front desk staff are fantastic, super friendly and inviting! Now, this hotel needs to fire their maid staff YESTERDAY, we pre booked the room, we got in last night and each wall was covered in mysterious sludge slime and grime.. food stains, hand prints, and what I can only assume is booger. Bed frame was on its last leg and screeched when we adjusted keeping us up all night. Stay here if you only need sleep and no comfort.

If I could give zero stars, I would. The rooms were so disgusting. Furniture was badly stained with looked to be blood, and who knows what. The bed sheets, and covers have not been washed in who knows how long, with stains, hair, and horrendous odors. They switched me into another room, same conditions. This place needs to be inspected by the health department. The hallways even had bad odors, mixture of mold and curry. Not a good combo. My advise to anyone, do not inquire this place. I will never return. After the second room, they would not try a 3rd for me. I slept in my car this night, due to all hotels in the area nit having any available rooms for the night.
