Red Roof Inn & Suites Lake Orion/Auburn Hills

My fiancee and I stay here typically during the summer months as pine knob is close to this hotel but we came down here for a baby shower recently and the service is not as it was before. The manager Danny is always helpful but the place is not as clean as it usually is. The front desk isn’t the same. We were use to Chealse and this past summer Amy doing everything they could to make sure our stay was enjoyable. The atmosphere there is not as it use to be. We will be going to a different hotel this coming pine knob season. Sad to see it go downhill.

The staff here has been nothing but kind to my son and I. Danny and Chelsea are both sweethearts. Amy our housekeeper always checks on us to make sure we have everything we need. We got a great room with a great view upstairs. Our room is clean and very roomy and even includes a couch. No bugs which is a plus!! There is also a indoor heated pool 🙂 I definitely recommend staying here if your in the area.

Very disappointed in the new ownership. The room was filthy. I had to ask to be moved. Danny at the front desk is amazing, but he can't do everything himself, especially when the owners do not care. If you have a complaint, some of the staff are very shady and aren't interested in helping you at all. The sheets were dirty, human sexual fluids were on the sheets, there was open soap in the bathroom, trash in the trash can. How does Housekeeping think that is a clean room?

Positive: Location Negative: They don't clean the rooms unless you ask. The toilet leaked from the bottom.

Location is perfect for being only 30 minutes from downtown Detroit and close to suburb hills and lots of shopping options also. Amazing price. Standards to be expected for a red roof inn. The guy at the front desk is extremely courteous and gave great service
