Red Brick Farmhouse Bed & Breakfast

What a lovely home. The owners were so helpful and kind to us. They helped watched my son so my husband and I could eat breakfast. Loved the room and the history. One of the coolest bathrooms I've ever used. The house was built in 1920s.

The Red Shanty is a beautiful property operated by two wonderful people. The property is beautifully decorated, offering 3-private rooms, and surrounded by the cornfields. Breakfast was included and very tasty and filling. We sat outside on the porch and watched the fireflies out within the lawn. Even though we chose to stay within the Farmhouse's private rooms, they also offered a trailer rental, RV spaces, and tent sites. A very special stay.

Our stay in the "Ain't She Cute" trailer was exceptional, and it's a destination that everyone should consider. With all the necessary amenities and lovely decorations, it's a true gem. Kenton's friendly demeanor and prompt greeting made us feel right at home.

My spouse and I found this wonderful place as we were making our way back to the east coast on a three month RV trip. It is outstanding. Private and quiet. It is at the top of a hill. Sunset is amazing. Moon rise is equally beautiful. Unobstructed views in both directions. Our 26' travel trailer fit beautifully. We had a 30 amp hookup with water. The owners are very nice people and make you feel welcome. If you are in the area at is worth a stop. It is only several miles from I 70 in Missouri.

My wife and stayed Friday and Saturday night in camp site 3. We were the only ones camping I think that someone was staying in the camper that is there for you to stop and in. It was very quiet enjoyed setting outside in the evening.
