Another amazing spot with everything an outdoors person looks for. Quiet. Sunset. Brook. Sounds of nature. Well kept place. Clean. Simple. A beautiful shelter and so much more. Come up. You won’t regret it. Take Lowe’s path and it’s 3 miles up from the road. Easy hike.
I hadn't been here for a long time. 30+ years. I remember it differently and I can't say it was a good memory. But I really loved it this time. Tough trail getting to it but only 2.5 miles in. Nice little back country cabin with a sleeping loft and floor sleeping spaces, a cooking table and open doorway. Pretty sunsets from the porch and water brook running right near the front door. A composting toilet a short walk from the cabin out back. Everything a back country cabin needs. I'll be back! Note it's not insulated or heated so plan accordingly in the winter.
This little cabin provides a roof and enclosed space although you’ll need a suitable sleeping bag as it has no door. Cool place with stream running through and doubt it would ever be full
