I had great reception with Verizon the whole time, other family members on AT&T and T Mobile had to use our star link and my Verizon Hotspot device. The views are great and the lake eas cold.
I was there a few years ago, very beautiful place. You can rent a space — the size they assign you depends on the number of people. The lake is very close, you can walk to it. Just a few minutes away there's an area for skiing and snowboarding. They have public restrooms, and each space has a water hookup and electrical outlet. You have to make a reservation several months in advance.
Myself and 32 other family members stayed at the granite and Jeffrey's group sites for a long weekend. The two group sites we stayed at had no shade, and we are right off Highway 168, so those were our largest complaints. The campground also has no showers, but the bathrooms are nice and well-kept with flush toilets, sinks, and mirrors. ||This is a large campground, and in general a lot of the sites seem to be in the shade, and had decent views of the lake. Easy to get reservations, did not seem as competitive as other campgrounds. Great access to the lake. Nice hosts. Overall would definitely stay again.
Very nice campground, has bathrooms spread out. No showers, no electrical hookups, dogs are allowed on leash. In order to register for campsite you have to go off site to the marina, past post office and find a small portable office.
We recently completed our first stay at Rancheria Campground. Great experience overall. The campground has potable water (fresh from a spring), and a mix of vault and flush toilets, both of which are very well maintained. No showers, but a camp shower solves that issue easily. Bears do visit nightly looking for unlocked and/or overfilled trash receptacles. So campers, do your duty. Sites are on the small side. We had two double sites, and they were barely bigger (if at all) than the single sites. Camp hosts Vicki and Shane were awesome! They worked so hard to keep the restrooms clean, the campers checked in, and the campground quiet and orderly. They truly made our first visit a motivating reason to return.
