The room was comfortable and clean, and I am appreciative of that. The staff was courteous and kind, and that, I also appreciate. The hotel itself needs to be updated in a major way, and general maintenance needs to be done across the board. There was a broken door handle, the tub did not drain, which I am assuming is because of hair that’s never been removed, One of the remote controls for the TV in the living area did not work, and I assume it just needs new batteries. The TVs on the mounts just need to be remounted. One of the couples I was on the elevator with said that their entry door would not lock and eventually they had to move to a new room. The hotel is simply old and does not appear to have ever had any updates. I think I’m just more surprised at the lack of general maintenance

Positive: The lady at the front desk (day time) was on top of it. She was checking out, doing breakfast & helping customers! Very friendly & helpful. Negative: The hotel is old & needs a little updating. The bathroom is just the tub & toilet. The sink is in outside of the bathroom. The Mattress is quite firm as is most hotels. I always bring my own pillows. Not a very big breakfast selection.

Mary checked us in, she was very helpful and delightful. The rooms were very clean. This is a place that we will always stay at in the future. They had biscuits, sausage, gravy and eggs for breakfast along with your normal quick grab and run breakfast items.

We originally booked two nights for a nearby wedding. After arriving to the hotel we noticed little quirks but didn’t think much of it. When we entered our room, I checked the mattresses for signs of bedbugs and found small blood “specks” on the sheet. My daughter then began screaming because there was a spider in the ac vent. My husband killed it but we saw at least 5 other bugs in there in the process- stink bugs, lady bugs, and an unknown larger bug. I found what I believe was food smooshed into the crevice between the hard floor and carpet. I was able to scrape it up and throw it away. We then noticed that the chair was visibly dirty and my daughters found a beer bottle cap behind the chair.. we then found more nasty looking stains on the sheets and decided to get a refund and leave. Staff was friendly and had a sense of humor. They had plenty of parking for my set of piggy backed trucks. Of all the places I've stayed at, and there are a lot, one thing that stood out to me was how the bed linens smelled. Most places have no smell. A few have had a musty or smoky smell. The linens here smelled CLEAN. The hotel itself is a little dated, but I saw no roaches or bedbugs, and everything was clean.
