Ramada by Wyndham Rochelle Park Near Paramus

I stayed at this hotel with my husband Ashish during our New Year trip to New York, and unfortunately, our experience was quite disappointing. The overall service was not up to the mark. The staff, especially during breakfast hours, appeared very rude and constantly in a hurry, which made guests feel uncomfortable rather than welcomed. There was no warmth or basic hospitality that one expects while staying at a hotel, especially during a festive time like New Year. You don’t get water in the room, you have to come near reception to get the water. The toiletries provided were not good quality at all. The breakfast timing was 7-10 am, but the experience was rushed, and instead of feeling relaxed, it felt like we were being hurried to finish and leave. The ambience of the hotel was also not

Positive: It was clean!! Smelled clean when you walked in. And definitely no bed bugs. Checked myself with an iron and not a single speck was found. Negative: The a/c in the room was not able to be adjusted and it wasn't powerful enough to make the whole room cold while sleeping

The only thing this hotel has going for it is location.||Upon check in the room smelled of smoke. Someone came & sprayed. Then the TV did not work. I tried to call the front desk but the phone did not work. I had to go downstairs to the front desk, using the stairs from the 3rd floor because of elevator issues. Someone came to fix the TV because the remote in the room cannot change settings. The phone in the room did not work the entire stay. The odor of smoke lingered the entire time. The hotel was fully booked so there were no other available rooms.||There are two elevators but only one works. I later found out it has been broken FOR A YEAR. Taking the stairs was extremely inconvenient but more efficient than waiting for the usually crowded elevator.||THEN I was charged TWICE for the roo

I have stayed at this hotel plenty of times. Now they have two elevators but only one works. There ice machines need to be serviced and cleaned because if you look inside the tray you can see black mold. And there is black specks or some brown stuff in the ice when you put it in a cup. So I recommend do not get ice from the ice machine. Sometimes the microwave won’t work or the tv. Now don’t get me wrong it’s a very nice place to stay but some things need to be addressed.

Excellent location, staff at the front desk were lovely, but the non-smoking room has very clearly been smoked in. Additionally, the room is tatty, the whole hotel needs a total remodeling and everywhere smells of cigarettes. You can't get into the building without walking through a wall of smokers. In the room there is a tea maker in the bathroom which is weird and there are three cups and three lids. The second lid was filthy with some red substance on it, quite disgusting actually. I did appreciate the way my towels were folded but no tip because my cup lids were filthy, see photos.
