Easy access and hiking/biking. Interesting rock formations, flora and fauna, creek, local history billboards, great way to see some of the smaller towns. Good folks (and dogs) using the trail. Great place for safe "social interaction" during a period of suggested social distancing.
Trail is still icy in some areas but completely open. Have almost completed our section hikes of the entire Trail. Lots of interesting geological formations and geology related to this area. Great biking, hiking and running trail.
Such an awesome trail. Great for walking, jogging or biking. The train running next to the trail just adds to the nostalgia. Great for the entire family.
NCR trail runs from Ashland, MD to York, PA. This area is about 3.5 miles from the MD-PA line if heading to York. Small park along the trail with port a potty, covered picnic table and benches.
One of my favorite trails; 'Heritage' + 'NCR'... combined they run from northern Baltimore County to York, PA. 80+ miles of rail-side goodness.
