Quality Inn Upper Sandusky

My wife and I have been here several times in the past because this location is one of the few left that have jacuzzi tubs with smoking rooms. With that being said its kind of a shame to see how the establishment has been taken care of over the past few years. Guy at front desk acted like he hated life and it seemed like I was a inconvenience checking in. No extra blanketsn The mattress and bedding was stained, bathtub was filthy, the carpet by window was was hanging off wall with mold, the door seemed like it had been kicked in before, the door was broke. Needless to say itll probably be awhile before returning. This could be a very nice place to stay if the establishment cared

The photos explain why I think it's 3 star Quailty... interior design updates, elbow grease or proper deep cleaning could fix these obvious issues and sanitation. Also i suggest the owner consider getting longer shower curtains. Pool was great though, customer service is 5 stars.

Basically I was in the middle of a very long drive when I realized I needed to lay down in a comfortable bed trying to rest in the car wasn't going to work this time. It was getting late and most hotel/motels were either way to expensive, had really bad comments or just weren't answering calls. During my vacation I had stayed the week at another Quality Inn and had an amazing experience so it was a no brainer. Checked in at midnight, staff was nice and got me checked in quickly.. my room was nice, bed was comfortable, everything worked that I used. The room looked like it was cleaned by someone who was trying to make a good impression for an unexpected guest but didn't really care if it was actually clean and sanitized. Hallways and rooms were very dark. The main hotel room light fixture is missing. Just lamps and I didn't want to touch anything beyond the door handle but I did. For what it was, it was accommodating. The staff was pleasant and there's a McDonald's and pilot travel stop on the same lot. There's not much to do in the area, couldn't even get a Lyft or an Uber. There's no working taxi service either. The room was quiet and I appreciated the cable TV service. They have an indoor pool onsite but I didn't use it. They have no shuttle service.

Clean bed, clean room and bathroom. Hot water was tricky. Had to turn the 1 knob to the right until it points down, then back up on thr right until it reaches your desired hotness. Had carts to bring up luggage. Has breakfast from 6-9am, eggs, sausage, waffles, cereal. Looking forward to that. TV works in the room. Has fridge and microwave. Mirrored closet and another big full length on the wall. All for under $100. Best hotel we've seen in 2 years, maybe 3 even. (Last 6-8 hotels) :)
