Quality Inn & Suites Phoenix NW - Sun City

We drove over to the Surprise/Peoria/Glendale area from Las Vegas for Spring Training. The location was good/central, only about 15-20 minutes from everywhere we went. Our king suite was a nice size and comfortable with a fridge, microwave, and big dresser for all my clothes. The sheets were very nice with almost a silky feel and the pillows were big and fluffy. There were standard plug-ins as well as USB plugs in a power bank on one of the nightstands, helpful for charging both of our phones. There was a good-sized flat screen TV with DirecTV, so lots of channel choices. There was some pretty loud road/train noise, but we were in the back of the suites building, not facing Grand, but it still got a little loud. The people that worked the front desk were all very kind and had great customer service. The laundry was great. Bed was comfortable. Shower was hot. Ear plugs were left just in case the road noise was too much. The noise was not significant. It is an older hotel with stairs and not an elevator. Because the hotel is older there was a slight odor of just being older. I just bought an air freshener to have in the room. I would stay again.

We needed a place to stay fairly last minute and the price was very reasonable without compromising standards. Check in was extremely quick and easy, room appears nice & clean, and it was very quiet through the night (aside from the occasional train passing nearby). They also have large refill bottles of shampoo, conditioner, & lotion attached to the walls in the bathroom which is always such a convenience to me!! I think it's awesome that there's room service that can be ordered too!

We accidentally double booked the same day, and they refused to give a refund. Even though it was a clear honest mistake mistake. No exceptions when booking is non cancel . Next to Q Ts loud, homeless, hookers, druggies. The staff treated us like we were off the streets. Even though we are Diamond Members. They charge $150 even if your diamond status members. You also have to wait until after 9 am when manager comes in to get your cash back. They make you eat your breakfast in the very compact breakfast room. Crowded. The staff literally chase you down. We did not get our diamond snack and waters like we usually do. Our TV did not work. Our sheets kept coming off the corners of the bed. The shower had a terrible plumbing whine to it. Housekeeping was nice. Room was mediocre clean.

Positive: the attendant thay was working that night was very helpful and informative of the area. Felt very welcoming Negative: The noise from the traffic and train. I was wondering why they have ear plug in the rooms.
