Quality Inn & Suites NJ State Capital Area

I stay there for the location, and that's about it. The quality of service has declined over the past year or so. Breakfast tends to be hit or miss. Some days there's not much food. Other days there might be food, but no plates to put it on. In the last 2 stays, once in October and this one, I've had to get a TV, a fridge, and a HVAC unit replaced. This stay there was a neighbor who had several dogs that barked during the day, at night, frequently disturbing my sleep. They scratched on the door and barked as I walked past. One day I had to call the desk about it, but it didn't solve the problem. I asked about the pet policy and was told they were service dogs. Sorry, service dogs don't misbehave like that. Trash hotel.i was looking for a room on fri 2/20/26.Went through the whole process of reserving the room.i hit the reserve button.nothing indicated that there were no rooms available for Friday night.i checked my email for the reservation and saw the dates had been changed to Monday night.no cancelations allowed. I called the customer service number, was hung up on 4 times.finally spoke to a rude woman who told me she couldn't cancel it and that I had to call another number to cancel and then she hung up on me without telling what number to call. Definitely would not recommend this hotel.

Awesome customer service hospitality. Very clean, housekeeping goes above and beyond to please the guest. Breakfast is great, always clean and stocked. Some days, you may find that the food rotates from scrambled eggs to egg and cheese omelets. Also, all the breakfast meats are pork. I would like to see some turkey or beef products added. You'll find a variety of yougart, bread, muffins. There's cereal, milk, juice, water, and a waffle maker. Be careful with the waffle batter dispenser. It's delicate. Take your time. Your waffle will be just fine. There is syrup and jelly. There's peanut butter, salt, and pepper. There's fruit. They have hot water for tea and coffee. My recent recommendation of this hotel to a friend was met with disappointment. She discovered hair on the bedsheet, mold and dirt in the shower and a missing part of the door wind blocker, highlighting significant cleanliness issues that potential guests should be cautious of. She was in for another disappointment when she requested a room change. The front clerk, unfortunately, refused, claiming all rooms were booked. This was hard to believe especially when she saw three single rooms available online. This lack of flexibility was frustrating to say the least. In the end, she had to resort to buying cleaning supplies to make the space more comfortable.

Stay was good. Room was clean and beds were comfortable. Price was great and breakfast was provided. The only down falls was noise and tv did not work upon arrival but staff came in immediately and resolved issue.
