Quality Inn & Suites Near Amish Country

The host at check-in was quite pleasant and accommodating. Rooms were clean and cool (which was nice). Best part was that the price was $30+ cheaper than any other comparable hotel in the area. Breakfast was decent and bed slept well.

The motel is old but well kept. The people who work there are all friendly and helpful. Karla does a great job at breakfast time.

The property was convenient given the location of our event, but could use some updates to modernize the facility and make it more accessible (stairs were only option to reach breakfast area and 2nd floor). There was an unpleasant smell when entering the 2nd floor as well (possibly due to older laundry facilities being right there). Additionally, the breakfast set up could use some revisions. The waffle making station was great to have, but many of the items needed to eat the waffle (plate, plastic wear, butter, napkins) were on the other side of the room. Lastly, there were people smoking directly outside the front entrance, so when we checked out and left, we were hit with thick second-hand smoke as we exited. It's dirt cheap which unfortunately attracts a wide range of people, but it's the only hotel for miles if you're in town visiting. Rooms are clean and staff is friendly . The room above us was either having a party , being remodeled or had a number of sleepwalkers in it. Non stop till 230AM then started again at 630AM. So maybe don't stay in room 113. Took my dog out at 8am for a bathroom break and watched what appeared to be a homeless guy on a bike roll up to the rear exit door , walk in, warm up in the stairwell and then bike off. You don't need a key to get in back door obviously as I found out. Scary.

Staffing! Carla who was handling the front desk and breakfast set up on Thursday had her “old man” (Gary) hanging around and disrupting her work. Why would you allow a spouse to be on site? The hotel was fully booked with contractors working in the area and the breakfast area needed her full attention. Not her having to take care of him and her sitting outside smoking. The hotel could use some updating as far as mattresses and sound barriers. The floor above us must have contractors getting an early start to the day and it sounded like the ceiling was going to fall in.
