Customer Reviews
We stayed here two different times during elk hunting season this year. The first stay was in a normal room. The room was clean but nothing spectacular. The lady that checked us in was very kind. She had a lot of people in line when we arrived as it was the start of hunting season the next day. She worked to make us feel comfortable and made sure we all had the best price possible. She was an excellent host. The second time we stayed the opposite was true. We stayed in a suite which was actually very nice. It was only about $30 more than the regular room but we had a lot more space. We really liked this choice. However, the younger lady at the hotel deck took a while to come out a left us waiting a bit. She did her job but did not seem engaging at all. We would definitely stay
This hotel it terrible! Especially for the price. Extremely overpriced for the quality provided. I was told that my room would cost $123 when I called and reserved a room. When I got there later that night, they charged $140 and couldn’t explain why. The layout is confusing. The bed was full of hair, and I’m not talking one or two, I’m talking a dozen or more on top of the sheet. The towels were dirty/stained. The building feels generally old and dirty. There were no bugs that I found.
Positive: After running with the front desk lady to upstairs and downstairs units, in hopes to find at least a room with working refrigerator and TV and was decently "clean". Leaving was the best part!I saw 5 dog's off leashes going in and out of the buildings. Negative: I felt bad for the front desk lady because she had to do Everything and Anything to poorly "run" a hotel.Needs a make over and to be completely staffed. No 1 human can run a "Quality hotel/motel". My family wanted to leave but the drive in from Texas?
Diane at the front desk was amazing. She was kind and could tell that we had been traveling all day. I asked about a suite and Diane was accommodating and set us up in a nice room with comfortable beds. I actually fell asleep on the pull out sofa, so comfortable! When I accidentally left my laptop in the room, Diane called me to arrange mailing it to me. I appreciate all Diane did to make our stay wonderful.
It was very run down. The drains by the pool weren't draining so the water collects and the drain covers were rusty so you had to walk through rusty gross water to get to the seating near the pool and there is black mold growing up the walls in the corner by the bathroom doors. It used to be a very nice motel but definitely needs maintenance one room at a time. It was pretty rough for a $180.00 room.
