Quality Inn & Suites Bell Gardens-Los Angeles

My family and I were in the area on business. We found that we needed to stay overnight, & we thought we were fortunate to book rooms at the last minute. The price for a very basic room was appropriately reasonable. The rooms, though sparse appeared to be clean. The clerk at the desk advised us that amongst other rules, that partying was prohibited. What made the experience unpleasant? The carpets in the hallways were extremely dirty. As a result of their lack of enforcement “partying” rule, some of my family member were unable to sleep because of the noise. When checking out, I remembered that the clerk the previous night had photocopied our drivers licenses. The clerk responded to my inquiry about the need to retain copies of our ID, by assuring me that the retention of a copy of my pers

Both of our rooms smelled strongly of marijuana, and reception confirmed that the neighboring guests were smoking, even though the entire hotel is advertised as non-smoking. The hotel was incredibly dirty, one corner of the bed was messy, and adults felt sick while our two-year-old vomited within minutes of entering. The staff refused to fully refund us, excusing the situation by citing the messy bed corner and paper in the trash, even though we stayed less than 30 minutes. I have reported this property to the health department. This hotel is unsafe and unacceptable for families with kids.

Rooms are better than the appearance outside. I would stay again breakfast was good. Hotel staff are really nice and alot of parking. Could use new carpet in the hallways but other than that the rooms are spacious and beds are comfortable.

Well first of all I was charged an extra 50 dollars at the desk after I booked online. Then i was given keys and as I walked to the room the smell of cleaning chemicals was extremely strong. When I got to the room, a security guard told me I had to go back because the room was booked to somebody else already. So when I walked back to the desk, the lady said that in the system it was available but on paper it was booked so she gave me a new room. And when I walked to that room, I tried to open the door and the inside bolt lock was on meaning somebody was in there. The light was off and the lady who answered the door look like she was sleeping. When I got to the desk, the this lady was surprised when I said there was somebody in there and she got on the walkie-talkie and was asking if somebo

I was in the area recently and found it necessary to spend the night. We were able to book rooms the same evening, which was a relief. We were very tired and I guess we weren’t thinking clearly enough to consider seeking other lodging when the clerk made photocopies of our identification. We were alarmed to see how very dirty the carpet was as we walked to our rooms. We decided to stay since the rooms appeared to be clean. The clerk tried to convince me that retaining the personal documents of customers, even after payment was completed was “…for protection…” ‘Not sure who was being protected, but I certainly felt hoodwinked.
