Quality Inn Midland South

Hotel was under new management and undergoing extensive updating/repairs. Hotel needs updating as shower had mold around the floor wall joint, furniture was dated and access was constricted to front door due to renovations. It is understandable and the price was reflective of the repairs being made. I would not stay there until the repairs/ remodeling are completed. Staff was polite and competent as well as management finding me another room after first was did not have electricity to half the room. Beds were clean and no sign of infestation of any sort. AC worked very well and the TV had a robust channel selection. I did not use the breakfast / dining area so I can not report on that. New Management looks to be doing what needs to be done to raise the quality of the hotel to be in

Under renovation and hard to get in. I would not have booked. At least three rooms are smoking against the rules. Have to walk through the hallway and it smells like a casino or a bar. The customer laughed when I mentioned it. I’m going to mention it to the staff but it’s impossible for them to miss it. I guess you try to stay cheap you get cheap. Room is good and definitely a/c is working. Good TV. Breakfast room looks good but I’m having trouble getting past the air quality. I am a nice non smoker but this is horrible!

I’ve never been so disgusted. We had a roach infested room. They were actually crawling up my leg. They were on the night stand, on the counter in the bathroom, under the beds, on the beds, in the drawers and in the walls. We even switched rooms. They weren’t as rampant in the second room, but they were still very present. This hotel should be condemned. It’s definitely one of the most, if not the most horrific experiences I’ve ever had. Never again at a quality inn.

Window unable to lock, dead bugs in drawers and walls. Missing fire alarm on ceiling. Staff unable to switch to a safer and secure room for my family and I. Had to find another hotel nearby. Management approved refund at time of check in and apologized but haven't gotten any other response or refund after said and done.

The room wasn't to bad. It would have been nice to know that they are in the middle of remodeling before booking the room. We pulled in to find half of the front of the building removed. The lobby was extremely hot, I'm sure this was because of part of the building was missing. It would would be nice if they cleaned the room more than once every 3 days. When we checked in the guy in the lobby was nice and helpful. He apologized for the heat in the lobby and the construction happening. Even with the construction it was quite the 4 days we were there. It would have been nice to be able to see out the windows, they were taped up because they had painted and not removed it.
