Quality Inn Mauston I-90

This hotel is a dive. We got a "deal" and paid a total of $334.74 for two nights on 9/26 and 9/27, which is outrageous. Our room (101) was damp, dingy and smelled. This room has not been updated in decades: the brown patterned carpet is ancient, damp and sticky – it was so gross we could not walk on it with bare feet. The bedding felt damp due to the overall dampness in the room, which was repulsive. The bathtub was disgusting, with dirt apparently permanently ground into the plastic – we used shower shoes because we did not trust that it was clean. There was an overall musty, unpleasant smell in the room as well. We arrived late the first night and went right to bed as we were exhausted, but I spoke to the woman at the front desk the second night and very nicely and reasonably asked for a

Positive: Wonderful stay! Professional and compassionate staff made this very quick business trip enjoyable for my family, who accompanied me on the trip, and me. Negative: The hollow sounds under the hallway floor made it hard to sleep because of people walking/running…annoying.

Despite our host being awesome, I have to rate this Choice hotel relatively low. She was polite, attentive, and had a great memory recognizing us as a multi night guest. However, the room was not very clean, the TV didn't work, and the shower drain was plugged.

My first time staying here. It was clean and just nice !! Very comfortable stay. They just need better pillows and remove the carpets from the room. Friendly front desk service as well. Will definitely stay here again.

The Quality in at Mauston is a clean comfortable place to stay. The staff is helpful and friendly. The complementary breakfast is well stocked with hot and cold options including the famous waffles. The indoor pool is a great place to swim with family. The whirlpool is a nice place to relax after a long day. We have stayed at this hotel every year and every year it exceeds our expectations. Each visit there are new upgrades in style and furnishings. I highly recommend this hotel.
