Quality Inn Jefferson at I-85

relaxing & super chill hotel. staff is kind and helpful. i lost my android charger and a nice lady let me borrow hers. i constantly locked myself out of my room but it was no problem becsuse they staff is so nice. the rooms are comfortable and have an office chair in addition to a sofa chair. the microwave and fridgerator work great. they have an aesthetically pleasing pavillion for smokers. u can do laundry & the hotel has a pool! the staff are great.

The first room we got was so strong with the smell of weed, we had to ask for a change of room. How do you clean a room and not recognize the smell and address it. I was with my children alone. I didn't feel safe in the location. The parking is all on one side of the hotel. Some outside doors didn't look like they closed well. The pool door, even though the pool was closed was not closed and shut where a child couldn't get in. The stairs, had metal pieces taped to the stairs to hold them in place. It wasn't secured or safe. The lighting was poor which also made you feel more unsafe.

Driving into the entrance on a cold winter night I wasn't quite sure, but it was actually a nice place! It was actually nicer than a lot of places I've stayed. And I'm impressed by the layout. It was very two-person friendly with a separate sink area and bathroom/toilet. And you have a little wall to keep the light out of your eyes if one person is still sleeping. Negative was the fan that comes on with the bathroom light. And the coffee sucked!

I have stayed a total of 5 weeks at this location. For the most part, things were fine. This last trip bothered me, however. First, I check in and request a first floor room. I have had the first floor for the previous 2 stays (4 weeks total) without issue. Though, I was asked if my job was dirty and that they usually place people who will track in worksite dirt and dust on the second floor to keep the first floor clean (absurd, but whatever). This past trip, I was told they usually reserve the first floor for elderly and handicapped people. Unsure why they attempt to place restrictions on who gets the first floor by who the person is or what employment they have. Seems a bit unfair, honestly. I was accommodated, however. Lovely staff. The inn is very clean, spotless even. The only reason for the poor rating is the noise levels in these kind of buildings. Paper thin walls and building codes that don't care for the ordinary person.
