Quality Inn Jackson

I’m not sure where any negative reviews came from. However, I work on the road and stay in a hotel most of the year. I look for safe, clean, comfortable, friendly, in that order. This hotel is all that. Is it perfect? Of course not. Is it good? Would I come back? Could I live in a room for a few months? Absolutely. People were nice too. It’s also not far from some places to eat.

Clean, but not well maintained doors bolted together instead of being replaced. Duct tape used to try and keep service access areas closed switch covers not secure, whirlpool tub with no working plug or any way to keep the water in. They need to replace the maintenance people/person with someone as good as their front desk staff. The evening person as well as the night person were great.

They tried to put me on the second floor but there is no elevator and I could not get my luggage up the stairs. I stayed on the first floor and the room was in horrible condition. It was old and it was dirty. The curtains were stained. The bathtub was dirty, the drain stopper did not work and there was no hot water. Breakfast the next morning had old/stale food. The fresh fruit bowl consisted of 4 shriveled mandarin oranges. The bread slices were wrapped in baggies and obviously re-used from days before. They said they had no eggs that morning so the only warm food was microwaved sausage patties, a total of about 15 of them for everyone to share. I paid over $100 for the room and would like it refunded.

While the staff and reception were great, the hotel is in serious need of being updated. We were put in a room with a Jacuzzi tub, which needs serious updating or repair. The beds are platform beds, which are too high for any reasonable person to be able to get up on. They are however very comfortable. Overall, the experience was adequate for the price paid. The water for our shower/Jacuzzi tub ran cold until the faucet for the tub was turned on hot as if filling for the Jacuzzi.
