Quality Inn Gordonsville

This hotel was conveniently located to where I was attending a 3 day retreat in Defeated Creek. It was clean and the housekeepers kept my room tidy throughout my stay. The staff were all friendly. The breakfast was nicely set up and was good enough for me. The only reason why I did not give it a 10 was not really the hotel's fault but in the room I was in 114 the semi- trucks from the interstate were quite loud throughout the night. Otherwise I was pleased with the hotel and made reservations for the next retreat September 2025.

Edit to my original 4/5 star review. There are several things I overlooked from my review because I was in need of a room for mine and my husband's safety (the ice storm). However, after today I do have to unfortunately amend my review. Location is what it is. The only hotel in town when I needed it so the 5-star stays on that category. I take a look at my bank account today, 2 days after checkout and notice a random $200 charge to my account. Knowing I didn't damage the room, nor smoke, nor have a pet, I was confused so I decided to call the hotel and ask them if the charge was an accident (which DOES happen). Nope. Although the room had previously been a smoking room (unconfirmed but suspected as it smelled of smoke upon entry) we were charged for smoking in the room. This is a 2-star

Very bad experience here, the rooms are not as big as advertised, there was a weird smell coming from the room next to me, and the breakfast was very basic and nothing warm. There was an issue with the booking of the hotel and the hotel wouldn't do anything about it and took the money from both bookings. Planning on being back in the area in a few months but would rather stay somewhere further from my destination and more expensive than come back here again. Edit: As you can see from their response, a very, "not our problem" attitude. Which explains how they act when you visit them. As for the third party, it's funny that they said to contact you and you say it's not your fault and to contact them. What a shame for a chain business

Positive: Surprisingly spacious and nice. Negative: There was a lot of external noise from businesses near the hotel.

We were able to make last minute reservations as we were driving to our destination, this occurred after midnight and the phone call to reserve went easily, the location of the hotel was right off the highway, with a gas station across the street, and simple hand food spots next door. This place was functional and clean exactly what we wanted
