Quality Inn Burkeville Hwy 360 & 460

We have stayed here before and it was wonderful. The last one was 2 years ago in April. It's been bought out and going down the toilet. It was an absolute moldy, filthy nightmare. No hot water in our room. It was super late. They wanted to move our room again. I check the room with him and it reeked of mold and was just as filthy. He did do his best to clean the room we were in, and it wasn't as musty. He gave us the key to the other room to use the shower, which he had to then clean that one. But the mold in the shower was so bad my grandson was weasing just from a quick shower. Pool was made to believe they were waiting on a part, but I've looked at reviews since and it was down in the summer. The pool table room is gone. The rooms show no apparent pride in appearance, cleanliness and maintenance. Our first room stunk and had dirty floors and even visible dirty on the bed. The 2nd that they gave us smelled a bit better, but hadn’t been vacuumed, looked like somebody hastily made the bed and threw the pillows on it. A chair in our room was stained in several places, so unusable. There was also visible loose dirty on and under the sheets. Hair on the floor in the bathroom and stains in the tub. The shower pull plunger was very hard to operate and it really should be replaced due to hard water crustiness. The breakfast items were slim and the breakfast area is too tight for the number of people using it. The whole property seemed in disrepair and in need of a complete overhaul. Run down building, rooms. Litter laying on cement outside of front door. The breakfast was ok. Our room had wallpaper peeling at seams, bathroom door and frame hadn't seen paint in quite a while, grout around tub and floor horrible. That being said, the bed linens seemed clean and bed seemed comfortable. Would not stay again.

Nothing really good to say about this hotel. If I could give a zero star I would! Booked the “smoking room”. When we got there we were informed you couldn’t even smoke on the property. (Which was fine. They just need to take it off their website) The carpet in the hallways was a tripping hazard with one big wrinkle down the center. Room was uncleaned and had a weird smell…. Like bug spray. The only towel in the bathroom was wet. We grabbed our bags up and left. Will never book this hotel again.

Basic hotel yes but not bad. It was clean and the mattress sleeps very good. We did change out the comforter for our quilt but that's for my comfort. While the place is older, the owner does seem to be trying to keep it up and the front desk person was nice and efficient.
