The room was fine, but the service was awful. They should learn to be a little more decent to people… we overslept and woke up and it was 11 AM. We got a call within a couple of minutes and asked for a late checkout and we’re told there was no such thing at the hotel and we needed to get out immediately. We of course rushed to stumble out of the room within five minutes instead of having maybe 30 minutes to get it together… I mean our fault for accidentally sleeping in, but I’ve never in 52 years heard of someone not allowing a late checkout.
My daughter and I pulled off the interstate during a snow storm to get gas and decided to stay at the hotel since it was right there instead of risking driving in the storm. The room was average to below average. The floor was wet by the window and the sheets had some stains on them. I am okay with stains so long as the sheets are clean. We decided to get some quick breakfast before getting on the road again. My daughter got some orange juice. When she was almost done, she saw two bugs in her juice. When we told the manager, he just shrugged his shoulders. As of when we left the hotel, he had not done anything to check the orange juice, offer an apology, or any other action to acknowledge us.
Our room was located at the end of the hall near a side door. The side door did not close and was not locked. The room door did not completely close therefore the door security guard would not work. There was an electrical outlet that had an old 3 outlet extension plug. These issues are safety issues and could result in bodily harm to guests. The bathroom fixtures were rusted and pitted. The bathtub floor was stained and the fixtures were rusted. The bathroom wall needed repair and instead of fixing it properly they slapped a piece of subway tile on the wall. The A/C was so loud you couldn’t hear the television. I think that the corporate franchise team needs to inspect this hotel.
Have stayed here various times. Got a king bed bedroom. Stayed two nights while going to a festival in the area. Room was quiet. Bed was comfy. Breakfast was okay. First time I have seen cookies for breakfast. Otherwise typical hotel breakfast. The outside entrance off the halls needs to be locked at night. Otherwise okay.
Location of hotel was good. Making reservation seemed scammy on the phone. They kept claiming “that room was just booked” and then suggested a higher priced room. This happens 3 times putting the price for my stay at $200 more than the room I requested. I ended up booking the original room online with no issue and called to confirm. They advertise a pool - but when I arrived, it was not open. They indicated the pool hadn’t been open since 2020. That was part of my reason for selecting the hotel. Cleanliness was sub-par and an exterminator was definitely needed (killed a large spider right after entering the room). Security was definitely lacking. The exterior door on the end of the building remained unlocked 24/7 and while going out to walk our last morning, there were people sleeping in a
