Puumoi Pink House And Sunrise Studio

Wonderful stay at the Sunrise Studio. We loved falling asleep to rain and frogs. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend.

Great Airbnb experience. The owners are absolutely lovely and the property is beautiful and well taken care of. Scenic view, quiet and relaxing. Location was fantastic to get to all our outdoor activities and it is close to downtown. Guest house is adorable. I do recommend ear plugs if you are not used to the frogs, but they are everywhere in Hilo. Would stay again!

Countryside lodging near Hilo with very pleasant natural surroundings. They are very responsive and friendly. For the detached studio you have a smaller ocean "sunrise" view compared with the main house. But there is a private outdoor patio behind the studio that has a better view. The studio is spacious and comfortable, but not great for major cooking (kitchenette picture posted). There is not AC or heating. But during our winter stay we experienced very pleasant weather so didn't need it. So not sure if it might be hotter in the summer. Another tip - when driving from Hilo its too easy to take the wrong left turn, which is only 100 feet ahead of the correct turn. The GPS may also reroute you into some very bad dirt roads, so make sure to turn into the Pu'u Moi road. It's still dirt bu
