Customer Reviews
Camp Almanor it’s a great place to spend your weekend on nature with your friends and loved ones. Lake is right across the street! It’s well maintained campground with nice cabins, playground with sandbox and swings, badminton, volleyball, shared fire pit and an individual barbecue area. Cabins are comfortable, has full size kitchen and bathroom with shower. You have to bring your own bed sheets and pillows. Also you got to clean your cabin prior check out at 10 AM sharp. Keep in mind that no late check outs allowed.
Nice trip nice cabin. Recommend bringing a foam mat for the beds cuz they're not very comfortable but other than that it's a nice place. Also don't leave food out at night. We had a big black bear visit late at night and it came into our deck. Creepy.
Nice cabins in a nice area. Lake is right across the street. There are many activities at the cabin site..... volleyball, badminton, basketball hoop, swings, playhouse structure, horseshoes, a fire pit, ping pong, and the beauty of the trees surrounding us.
NOT CLEAN. RODENT FECES IN KITCHEN. Got to the cabin and inspected for cleanliness. Kitchen cabinets with cookware and other accessories are on the floor. Opened the cabinets and there was mice poop everywhere inside both shelving levels. Absolutely gross. This means mice were crawling around all over the cookware and feces was left and not cleaned nor properly maintained for pest control. Tried calling the numbers and no one picked up. We ended up leaving due to mice poop being a health hazard (diseases like hantavirus etc.) and did not feel comfortable. Reported it and got an email back stating that they keep cabins clean and mice are just part of being in the woods. They did not think fecal matter in the kitchen inside the cabin was a big deal at all and just a part of nature. Do not re
Love these cabins. They have so much to do and are right across the street from the lake. No complaints here.
