Prospect Mountain Campground

Had a nice stay overall. The atmosphere of the campground is great for a getaway. While the individual ratings for the rooms, service, and location were average (3/5), the overall experience felt like a 4-star stay. It’s a dependable spot for a camping trip.

A rustic campground, set In the woods of the Berkshire foothills. Most sites are secluded & under tree cover, with dirt / gravel roads. Although they have "pull thru" sites for our RV, we have opted for the back in sites when staying here for more privacy and to be right against one of their lakes. We have a 34' rig & at times it has been challenging to maneuver through their property due to tree's & brush. Their bathrooms aren't as clean as to be expected, but are private "all in one" style. They have lots of family activities, a playground, cabins, glamping tents, a basketball court, horseshoes pits, an RC race track, community fire pit, a few lakes, heated pool, mini golf, a laundromat, propane filling station, and several dumping stations.

Booked a tent campsite and thought it would be much more separated by trees or bushes. Not the case. You are on TOP of everyone and hear everything. Quiet hours not respected at all, loud music playing until midnight. Hard to rest and enjoy nature when you’re forced to listen to someone’s music at 12am

We went just a few days prior to Labor Day weekend. Leaving on the Saturday of the weekend. The camp really filled up for the weekend, tons of families. Lots to do for people with younger children. I had two teenagers with me so not so much for them. But that’s fine, we were really just there for a place to put our heads in between Wedding and exploring the Berkshires. A few things caught me off guard which led to a lower review. The location, while it is pretty and quiet, definitely has nothing to do nearby. There is no attractions that I would seek out. We are very much used to camping up in Maine where there is so much to do within a 20 minute drive. The next thing that led to a lower rating was the smell in our cabin. My grandmother has enjoyed a seasonal site at this campground for the past two to three years, and it has truly become a wonderful place for our family to gather. The variety of activities, along with the inviting pool, make it a very pleasant camping destination. Kris is an excellent manager whose efforts create a welcoming and well-organized environment. I am always happy to return and look forward to many more visits.
