Prairie Motel & Campground

This is a great budget motel in the middle of nowhere. Few people really want to stay in Anton, but if its where you are this place is perfect. There is a market close by and the owner was very accommodating

This was one of the all time WORST experiences I've ever had at a motel or hotel in my lifetime!|Goats loose everywhere and they came into my room! Filthy place inside and out with schetchy people lingering about. Horrible experience!! Had a black mold everywhere the beds and pillows were nasty, we didn’t receive a key for stay there over two months, they will go through you’re stuff and take you’re stuff, they’ll lock you out if you’re room and kick you’re animals out if you have any, complain that you cook when I have a daughter and have to cook for her and they want to b**** about it, say you can do laundry then they do laundry all day and not even say anything to you.

Great place to bring my telescope! Saw planets, galaxies, and nebulae just steps outside the motel door with a 8”. The darkest skies within 1.5 hours of Denver! The owner was super friendly and turned the lights off for us!

I ended up in Prairie Motel after a long and windy day during my bike trip across the United States - and can just recommend staying here! My room was clean, had a very comfortable bed, a fridge, a TV and even a microwave. But the best thing about this place are the owners who welcomed me so well that I can't thank them enough. Thanks for the memorable experience!

I spent last weekend there to attempt some astrophotography. The owners were very gracious in accommodating my needs to achieve a dark environment for me to perform deep sky photography. They turned off all their outside lights just for me! What a great group of folks out there on the Colorado prairie.
