Powell Park Resort & Marina

Just got back from Powell Park on Lake Sam Rayburn. If you’re here for the lake life, it’s 10/10—the Aqua Zone inflatables kept the kids busy for hours, and the cheeseburgers at the cafe are legit. Seeing deer wander through the site at night was a cool touch. That said, bring your leveling blocks because the RV pads are a bit wonky, and honestly, the bathrooms have seen better days. It's a bit 'rustic,' but for a weekend on the water, it does the trick

I’ve read some of the negative reviews but I just have to add we had a large group of fisherman and we actually stayed in two different cabins both were clean and served their purposes. I do agree the campground needs a lot of groundwork and or gravel and leveling of parking or campsites but the cabins were good and the prices were very reasonable. The store had fishing tackle, beach towels and cooking supplies. Our group bought quite a bit of stuff in there.| Everybody we dealt with from check-in to purchasing items in the store was upbeat and in really good moods!| We will return next year just remember to bring your own supplies and bath towels if staying in the cabins! I hope this helps!

We have been going to Powell Park for the last 20 years and the food used to be awesome. Now the burgers are okay but anything fried is way over cooked. The fries were so burnt they aren't even edible, they were hard as a rock. Please do better! I bought 5 burger baskets and all 5 fries were burnt. The picture doesn't do it justice. $60 is ridiculous for food that is over-cooked.

Beautiful Beautiful clean!!! place to bring the kiddos to play on the Kangaroo Jumper and the beach side white sand..!!! Thank You to All that helps keep this place a jewel that Jehovah created...!!!

If you're interested in camping this is the place to be. The camp grounds on the left when you enter the park which is D. The view of the moon was beautiful.
