Great getaway spot that’s very quiet. It’s a great way to go camping while still being comfortable. It’s incredibly quiet at night next to the fire and the amenities are good. The guys delivering the daily snacks and firewood were friendly and there was adequate easy to burn wood. There are no TV’s or wifi so know that ahead of time and make plans if it’s needed. The free smores package was amazing! Only one small issue…there was a slight smell in the cabin. Other than that, things were great!
We were celebrating our 39th wedding anniversary and my wife had just went through a major surgery and had been cooped up in the house for awhile.|I wanted something quiet, relaxing but comfortable for her.|Postcard Cabins Homochitto hit all those points.|The “cabin(s), are placed in a rural area, each spot nestled in between piney woods separating each cabin giving a nice private feel. |The outdoor space is big enough to have room to move around but small enough to create cozy sitting space.|We enjoyed the fire pit but wrestled with the wood (wet) provided, you might be better off purchasing some from the local stores, we saw some outside a station in Meadville which is less than ten minutes away.|First look at the unit from the outside is not impressive at all, but once you walk inside,
Lovely, lowkey, relaxing getaway. We wanted a quick escape from the city (New Orleans) on short notice and this checked every box. Not much to do in the area but we weren’t looking for things to do! Basic cookware and utensils was a nice touch. We brought a Dutch oven for biscuits over the campfire and a French press for coffee, but all you pretty much need to bring is groceries, a book, and good company.
I recently stayed at this location for one night and i really enjoyed it, it was peaceful, no disturbances and the cabin was clean and air worked well.. well stocked with utensils, pots, pans, free fire wood smores for 2. I gave the location a 4 star because the commute was a bit creepy 😂 you have to be careful . Easy check in bring extra lighting
We had an amazing time at the Postcard Cabin! The cabin was clean, beautiful, and the perfect place to relax and disconnect from everything. It’s peaceful and off-grid, just what we needed. The staff even brought extra s’mores kits and fire logs, which was such a nice touch. The nature walk wasn’t quite what we expected—it led to a sandy river we couldn’t go down, and there wasn’t much to see other than a few cute birdhouses along the way. The only downside was communication. I sent an email earlier in the week and didn’t get a response, so I called on Thursday. The person I spoke with was a bit rude and said they’d call back, but I never heard back. Overall, despite that, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely consider coming back!
