Port Crescent State Park Campground

Nice campground with beach access. Office closes intermittently near the end of the season. Beautiful sunsets.

We’re currently staying in a geodesic dome for two nights this first weekend in October. It’s their annual Halloween weekend where campers decorate to try to win the best Halloween site contest. It’s crowded, LOUD (the loudest talker ever is camping across from us 🤭), bright (no one turns lights off at night), and a very tight squeeze driving through. The bathrooms are somewhat clean. They close every day from 1-3pm for cleaning. The dome itself is pretty cool. Terrible mattress so bring a mattress pad (you have to bring your own linens anyway). And has a concrete floor so bring slippers!! Outside: huge fire pit with Adirondack chairs, charcoal grill. Inside: mini fridge, microwave and cute decor. The skylight im the dome is pretty useless for stargazing so be prepared to be outside if lo

🏕️🏕️🏕️🏕️🏕️ These must be the best public campsites in Michigan. Number 91 is steps from sandy crescent beach. A short path through the dunes and you are on the sand Sign up early as spaces go fast. Others are on a water inlet. Facilities are modern and clean. Group fire pit. Ice and firewood available. Lakeside living for all. Oh, but that beach ! 🏝️ 🌊🛶🤿 🔥

The renovation is almost done and it looks INCREDIBLE!! The Harbor is getting the new dock installed soon, Will be the most modern harbor in the state
