It's nice and peaceful out there. It was renovated so I thought it was going to be a lot of changes but they added this cool conservation center. I just revisited after years of not going to this park and was so grateful that it still has that charm and all the beauty that kept me going there. I'm happy I can revisit and they did a great job preserving what was so special about this place

Nice little facility near council bluffs, in the Loess hills of southern Iowa...
If you're looking for a great camping spot, consider this one a hidden gem. The camp site costs $12 per day if you want to use the electricity, less if you want to go without. Wood is generally provided for use in the burn pits. They really don't charge for the wood, but do encourage you to consider a donation for the service. To avoid confusion, all payments and rental fees are made in a small yellow pole that's near the entrance of the park, you just fill out one of the forms, and deposit it into the back of the tube. There is a children's playground I. The center of the camp sites, walking trails, local fishing available. There is a farm next to the property, so we had a morning wake up call from the cows every morning. The local fishing is great at Pony Creek. Went there for a w
