I have been bringing my grandkids to Boulder since 2014, to visit family. We always stay at Pole’s Place. I love it! The rooms are basic, but in the age of always being expected to be connected, it’s a welcome break. The site is well-maintained with beautiful flowers all around. We love to sit in the chairs outside the room and watch the sun rise. Lots of activity (bees, birds, etc.). The rooms are clean and comfortable. Expect a motel experience more in line with that of my childhood (60’s and 70’s). There is a lovely gift shop with an array of items to peruse. Camille, the proprietor, is lovely and holds lots of information about the area. We will continue to stay here on our annual trips to Boulder.

I only visited the gift shop. Welcoming and cozy inside with books about the southwest and other souvenirs. The motel rooms looked good for those traveling by motorcycle, sedan or sports car and for couples or singles not groups of 3 or more.

My boys and I walked into the gift shop to look around. I grew up coming to Boulder as my great great grandparents settled here. I wanted to explore and possibly find a book on the history of the area. I wanted to show my kids where I was almost every weekend growing up. As we walked in the owner immediately told my kids and I we could not go to the “art” side of the shop. “It is not the fun stuff and all expensive.” This is not fine art by the way, just prints and postcards. Nothing over 200$ really. The books were in this area so I guess I was told to not even look at the books, which was my intention. The owner tied to make small talk even though you could tell she didn’t like kids in her shop. My boys are teens so not even little kids. We ended up buying some candy but got ri

We stayed June 7-9 2023. The owner, Camille, was very helpful and honest about information in the area. The flowers in front of the rooms are gorgeous and you can tell Camille takes pride in them. as well as her motel rooms. The room was great. Soft bed, comfy pillows, comfortable overstuffed easy chair and a beautiful hand made quilt on the bed made it feel very homey. Bathroom was very clean with good water pressure. It's a good place stay while visiting the Burr Trail and Hell's backbone and other roads and hiking trails in the area. There are books and information about the history of the original owner, Pole, which I believe Camille descended from. We stayed here two of the 8 days while in Utah and it was our favorite motel. We'd stay again in a heartbeat if in the ar

Poles Place is a small motel but is taken care of very well. The owner is really nice and willing to offer advice and guidance regarding the area. The rooms are simple and clean, but not cramped for space. The bed was great and there is a comfy recliner chair too. There is a wood porch in front of each room with plastic chairs. I read out there after dinner and watched the storm clouds. It was very quiet, but I don't think there was anyone staying in the room next to mine. I used Poles Place as basecamp for a 3 day weekend adventure. However, this would be a great place to stop over at between Bryce Canyon National Park and Capitol Reef National Park. Boulder is a very small rural town, so don't expect the Four Seasons. No wi-fi, basic TV channels, etc. I would definitely stay here again.
