Point of View Lake Resort and Glamping Campground

We’ve stayed at POV Resort twice now, and both times have been fantastic. The cabin we stayed in was very clean, which is huge for us, and having a full kitchen made the trip even better. It was stocked with plenty of utensils, pots, and plates—everything you need to cook meals without bringing half your house with you. Each cabin also has a picnic table right out front along with a grill, which made barbecuing for the family easy and fun. While Dad was at the grill, Mom and the kids were setting up the table, maybe getting a board game going—it’s one of those simple moments that turns into a great family memory. Part 1: So, my pops and I done extensive research in finding a resort that has some ice fishing shacks to rent in our price range. We do a ice fishing trip every year with a group of guys and thought it would be cool to have a ice shack, instead of bringing all of our pop up hubs and flip overs. Our group is from Milwaukee, Wi. We discovered point of view lake resort that had ice fishing packages that included a shack thats pulled out onto the lake. The lodging was right next to the lake for easy access which was a plus. Their ice fishing package also included an aditional pop up hub, auger, tip ups and a few other things. We were bringing all of our own ice fishing gear because all we really wanted was to use the shack that suposed to be able to hold 4 guys in, and just use our 2 man fl

We rented the deluxe 3 bedroom cabin, which is a great unit. When we arrived the cabin was 50 degrees as they did not turn on the heat prior to our arrival. It took over 4 hours to get up to where we were not huddled in blankets. The bathrooms and floors were not clean, the mattresses and pillows are very hard, so hard my son opted to sleep on the futon since it was more comfortable. There is absolutly NOTHING in the kitchen except dishes. They said it was fully stocked with everything we would need, but not even a packet of salt and pepper so bring EVERYTHING if you come. The website says two large fireplaces, but only one is working, and there is nice game room with a poker table but no cards. I tried letting the owners know but got zero response.

Stayed here while ice fishing on North Twin Lake. The cabins fit our needs perfectly. It was great being so close to the lake and to be able to walk out from our cabin right on to the ice. Fishing was good and we had a great time. We will be back here next year again.

Part 2: Of dltorres17 post. On top of that we are only suposed to fillet fish in a "fish house" they had on the campsite. The pathway wasnt shoveled either that screen door couldnt even open to get in. Not to mention it looked really dirty and had no running water. That room needs to be heated in the winter with running water to clean fish. Maybe it's cleaner in the summer. We also hoped to shop for a few food items at their on site store, according to their website. But, it was completely empty aside from liquor that was locked up and a few items on shelves (pop tarts, pancake mix, protein bars). Not to mention that there were no employees on site in that store, or keeping track/organizing ice equipment being returned. I think having an onsite employee organizng returned equipment would
