Pod 39

Had to make an emergency trip to NYC and Pod 39 had the best location I needed. Check-in was quick and easy, and my (Queen) room was nice and clean. Yes, the room was small, but I just needed a safe, clean, and practical room. I truly appreciated the cleanliness, and I've stayed in more expensive hotels in Manhattan where the dust never got cleaned before or during my stay. Again, location was great as it's just a couple of blocks from Grand Central, with convenient deli down the block, a CVS nearby, as well as plenty of other shops. Will definitely look to stay with them again next time I'm in NYC.

Super amazing location - jus a 2-3 min walk away from Grand Central. There's also a deli/convenience store in the corner. The room is compact and clean. There's a place for your luggage and a place to hang your clothes. Plus, a table for your EDC. In the bathroom, there's only one knob for the shower and sink so it took me a while to figure out the heating and water pressure. Basically, the water pressure is the same althroughout. The knob controls the temperature. How I got there from the airport- to hotel: Uber Shuttle to Grand Central cost me only $15- to airport: Grand Central LIRR ＞ Airtrain Jamaica ＞ Airport (＜$20) -

I recently stayed at Pod 39 for my very first trip to NYC, and it was a great choice for a quick visit. The location is excellent. Super convenient for exploring Midtown and getting around the city easily. The room was clean and comfortable. Housekeeping uses Swiffers for the floors, which is worth noting, but everything felt tidy and well-kept during my stay. The bathroom was definitely on the smaller side, but that’s to be expected in NYC and it worked just fine for what we needed. What really stood out was the staff’s helpfulness. I accidentally left a few items behind, and they were extremely accommodating in helping me get them back. I sent a FedEx label, and they kindly dropped the package off for me, which I really appreciated. Overall, it’s a great spot for two friends visiting N

My adult daughter and I had a bunkbed room and it worked perfectly! It is small, but if you are familiar with cruise ship cabins, it's very similar to those. It's everything you need without a giant price. The bathroom is a little less than private with only a glass wall separately you from the main room. It's frosted glass at the bottom for visual privacy, but the noises are all out there! The shower is small, but adequate. It's the kind where you might turn it on and then off to soap up and back on to rinse. Again, COMPLETELY adequate! We would definitely book again! I highly recommend! Oh, and location was AWESOME! So close to Grand Central.

I enjoyed my stay at pod 39. Usually I’d been staying at barebones hostels, but the price for this hotel wasn’t much more for my travel dates, so I decided to treat myself. Great decision, past me. Every staff I talked with was friendly and helpful. The property was clean and the room was so cozy. The bed was very comfortable, and while it’s not a room you’d hang out in all day, it’s perfect for winding down after a day of exploring the city. The room was tidied daily which was a surprise to me considering it’s not as common now. I recommend for any solo traveler. Thanks to all the staff who made it a great stay.
