Pleasant Valley Resort

We spent the winter at this resort in Mission. We have plans for a return visit next year. The weather is amazing. Temps ranged from the 40s when there was a cold snap to the high 90s. The cold snap was short lived, but it was there for a few days. The park has a large population of French Canadians in the winter. It was quite fun getting friendly with the melting pot of people both here and in the RGV. There were times we felt like English was not the language of choice for the area. In this park you here predominately French patrons. Outside the park Spanish is spoken regularly. ||Of course, the staff is all English speaking. Pleasant Valley is a lovely park with nice clean facilities and friendly people. Plenty of room between lots and well kept grounds. Lots of adult activities in the park and closely located to shopping, restaurants and several state and city parks for hiking, biking, birding and lots of butterflies! You won’t be bored! The resort includes several cultures of people and everyone has been very cordial. The local residents in this area are super friendly and helpful. It is a refreshing change from other areas of the country. Situated near the boarder is an opportunity to visit Mexico and enjoy the Rio Grand River. The area is very safe and rarely heard any sirens. Love the location, love the people and love the warm weather!

Managers are friendly, informative and easy to work with. Workampers are the same and always busy keeping things running to ensure everyone is taken care of.

This is not a family park people aren't nice They don't follow the rules

We first came here in 2009 living in our motorhome. We enjoy all the activities and have met many lifetime friends. We love it so much we bought a permanent unit and retired full-time year-round. In my opinion this is the cleanest, nicest, affordable resort in the area.
