Pleasant Moose Lodge

We had a bad check in experience. I had talked with the Manager earlier before we had arrived and was promised a room on the first floor. The Manager had not left notes on the computer about reserving a room on the 1st floor and our check in lady said the only rooms she had would be on the 2nd floor and they do not have an elevator. I asked the check in lady to call the manager. Luckily the Manager answered the phone and told her which room on the 1st floor to give us. That night our clock alarm went off at midnight which I had not set for. After this I will always unplug their clock in any motel or hotel we stay in. I don't need it anyway. Positive: Free popcorn, breakfast good. 1 employee super nice the rest not friendly Negative: No elevator, bed uncomfy, we asked to have new towels and trashed changed they didn’t do it. Called front desk to ask for trash bags do we could do it ourselves bottom of garbage can was disgusting. Had like a sticky syrup sludge all over the bottom gross

Pleasant moose is a wonderful hotel. Very clean, hearty breakfast, easy access to the trails but that’s nothing compared to the excellent people that work here! Deb, the manager, is very helpful and her team is top notch. Don’t stay in a motel stay here and shred the trails from their back yard!

Clean, relaxing, well located lodging. Room was comfortable and quiet providing a restful night of sleep. Friendly staff and well lit parking lot with security cameras. Free breakfast was more fresh than what you would receive at most national chains. Staff mentioned eggs are freshly cracked and cooked versus being instant. My wife said the donuts provided were so fresh and delicious that she ended up enjoying two.

First timer in the UP. Came here for snowmobiling this weekend. Very clean and comfortable hotel. Amazing hospitality and great complementary breakfast. They serve popcorn and donuts all night and staff is really friendly. Only thing to complain about is the soda machine. Looks like it hasn’t been refilled in ages and steals your money.
